apple fitness plus not shwoing metrics since update

since the software update, when i connect my iPad or my iPhone into my tv via HDMI, the metrics no longer show up on screen like they used to prior update even thought i've got the toggle set to show metrics on screen.

when i disconnect either of these devices from the tv and continue the workout, the metrics are then showing on that device screen but then when i reconnect them to the tv and continue the workout again, the metrics disappear

also, the completed tick on workouts since the updates takes ages to show up on those workouts that i've completed, and sometimes takes even longer to show across my 2 devices

Thanks for posting your question in Apple Support Communities!

It seems as though you are having issues with getting your workout metrics to appear on your screen while using Fitness+.

A few things to check first would be that all devices involved are up to date with the latest versions of iOS, WatchOS, or iPadOS. Please confirm that they have all been updated and are all connected.

Next would be to follow the steps in the article: Work out with Apple Fitness+, in order to confirm that you have the correct options set in order for your metrics to be shown during your workout.

yes all on the latest one and they was all updated today with the update that came in but this still hasn't fixed the issue.

just tested it again and metrics still not showing up on the screen when connecting either of my devices to the TV via HDMI. checked the article you hyperlinked but all my settings are set to show my metrics. I even toggled them off and back on but this didn't work

when I disconnect from the TV, as I said previously they then appear on my device screen, but when I then plug that device back into the TV via HDMI they disappear from the screen even though ive asked for them to show on the screen
