Macbook is slowing down and beachballing...

My MacBook pro 2012 has gotten slower and whenever i try to open more than one application at a time it starts beach balling and freezes, and then it restarts and the cycle repeats.

I have also done an EtreCheck test and down below is the report, please help if you can find any software or file that is causing the problem.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Nothing jumps out of the etrecheck report—

other than this looks to be the OEM mechanical harddrive (HD) from 2012...

4 GB of RAM

Both are user upgrade-able

All HD fail in due time, you can expect to get 3 to 5 years of use— your HD is 9 years old !

If you have an external bootclone, A definitive test—you can boot from it externally, bypassingg both internal HD and SATA cable—if it runs trouble free as you expect, than I would expect the HD starting to fail.

If you replace the drive, it is recommended to change the SATA cable at the same time while you have it opened up.

your battery is probably on its last legs wit a 1000 expected cycle count

< Battery: Health = Normal - Cycle count = 987>
