iOS 14: Remove music and podcast controls from lock screen

I have an iPhone 8+ running iOS 14. It is typical for me to listen to music when I go running, but the default iOS accelerometer and lock screen functionality is causing me problems. When I run, the motion causes the lock screen to turn on, and exposes the pause, rewind and fast forward buttons from the music and/or podcast apps. Inevitably, body and pocket contact will cause the app to pause the music, interrupting my exercise.

The most obvious solution would be to have an option to remove the music control buttons from the lock screen. Several web searches and YouTube videos with incorrect remedies and instructions later, I am no closer to resolving the issue. Any ideas on how I can stop the music from being paused when I am running with the iPhone in my pocket?

My suggestion is to turn off Raise to Wake if you intent to run with it

Settings, Display and brightness, Raise to wake, off
