No Lightning to 3.5mm Jack with my purchase

I never knew until speaking to another iPhone user that I was suppose to get an adapter in my box. Is there anything that can be done now?

they stopped including those years ago, these days one don't even get headsets or ac chargers when one purchase an iphone
