Using Apple TV Remote on LG TV

I have not been able to get my Apple TV remote to control power ON my LG TV. It will power OFF. HELP!

Follow up - Newer ThinQ TV's have their Sampling - HEIC settings in a new location. Once this was located, I was able to connect and utilize appropriate instructions outlined in https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205225
