I have tried using the method listed previously for powering down the IPhone, but it is now stuck on the “slide to power off” page and will not slide nor power off. Any other suggestions to fix this problem?

Thank you for your suggestions! Although the phone was completely charged, we plugged it back into the power and waited for a good bit. The phone brought up the the login screen and we were able to access it without problem m.
