Can't log into new phone

I have a new phone with a new number but my new phone keeps sending a verification code to a number a no longer have

Have you changed the number on your Apple ID? You need to change/add the number on your Apple ID. After the change, allow up to 24 hours for the change to sync. Before trying to make the change, sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all devices/computers.
