Hi RebelRoy49,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are not able to copy a CD into your iTunes library and we would like to help! We also see that you have already checked out the Apple Support article Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows. Let’s make sure that you are following the steps in the Apple Support article Import songs from CDs into iTunes on PC and if you still have problems importing songs from CDs into iTunes, then try the troubleshooting steps below and check to see if the problem is still there after each one:

  1. Close out of all open apps: Close an app in Windows 10
  2. Restart (reboot) your PC
  3. Update to the latest version of iTunes
  4. Update PC: Windows Update: FAQ

We hope this helps!

Take care

If the steps outlined by chris_g1 don't sort out your problem, I suggest you respond here, but include information which of the steps you take doesn't work and what happens when it doesn't work. For example you put the CD in the CD drawer and you expect iTunes to automatically import the CD, but it doesn't. In addition, the CD doesn't appear in the Import CD window.

Until you provide more detail, anyone here is simply guessing.
