iphone 11 battery gets hot

My iPhone 11, purchased new from AT&T in August 2020, gets hotter than my iPhone 6+ ever did! I keep hearing that the issue will be resolved after the next software update ad nauseam. Is this a known issue that can really be resolved via software update or might it be an individual phone device problem.

The obvious next step is to take it in to an Apple store and let them handle it. However, I live in an extremely rural and isolated area and that Apple store is a 9+ hour round trip. Let’s add that I have a seizure disorder and cannot drive so I gotta wrangle someone else to get me there. I know that isn’t Apple’s problem (and everyone in this world is busy so I hate to sound like such a whiny butt!) but just wanted to paint the picture.

If anyone can point me towards any resources I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!
