External barcode scanner data rate is super slow on iPad/iPhone versus on MAC

Hi,

I have bought an external barcode scanner to scan 70 character long QR code.

I have tried to connect through both bluetooth HID and USB HID and I alway have the same issue.

On MAC/PC (very old M4600 from DELL),

The Barcode scanner is recognized as a keyboard. the speed is OK, the QR code is read and then sent to notes or any editor in less then 1s (I would say 500ms approximately)/

On iPad/iPhone 8,

The Barcode scanner is also recognized as a keyboard.

But the QR code is read is more than 2s.

I have tried another barcode scanner, and as I said, I have tried bluetooth and USB

It seems that iPad/iPhone is slowing down the keyboard profile, meaning it cannot be used for repeatly scanning QR "long" code.

Do you have any clue how I could unlock the speed rate ?
