Instagram app on New iPad air will not load some photos

I have been using Instagram app on my old iPad air (2) and it wirked perfectly. Today I have switched to a new ipad air 4 and now there’s s a problem

When I try to add a new post my photos appear as normal in the role but if I select one it loads in the preview but at low resolution. Previously a loading spinner would appear over the preview pane for a second as the full resolution image loaded then I could hit “next” to move to edit etc.

Now, if I hit next a spinner appears in the top right and nothing follows, it just sits there.

Interestingly, images that I previewed in the instagram app prior to switching to the new iPad appear in the new app at high resolution and will allow me to move forward to edit without a hitch.

I’ve tried deleting and redownloading the app but it’s not fixed it. Any ideas?
