Auto-answer incoming video calls when screen is locked

I was using my iMac camera combined with Skype as a pet monitor. I had Skype set up on my iMac so that it could auto-answer incoming calls from me, from my iPhone. I used to be able to lock my iMac screen and the auto-answer would still work. Now, Skype will no longer auto-answer if my screen is locked. This seems like it would be an OS issue rather than a Skype issue. Was there an update that now prevents auto-answer on locked screen? Or maybe there's a setting that I now need to change? I'm currently using Catalina 10.15.7.

Hello christinabina5,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! We understand Skype won't auto-answer calls on your iMac anymore while it's locked. We're happy to help in anyway possible.

This sounds like something may have changed within the Skype app. This article may be helpful to you:
