Why isn't Facebook Messanger on Carplay?

It seems to me that Apple Carplay was developed to reduce distracted driving and allow drivers to a hands free option to send and receive messages/phone calls safely. Yet here we are all these years later and the most popular messaging app out there isn't available. So many are fumbling with their phones checking to see if they received the message they were waiting on or messaging people while driving which completely defeats the purpose of Carplay. Honestly could you tell someone to text or call you of course but in my case people are Online customers that we communicate solely through FB messanger to avoid giving out my own private number and if Whatsapp can be on there and if we can have messanger on our phones then why the heck isn't it good enough for Carplay?
