suddenly my apple pencil 2 was hot while it was connected to the ipad is it bad?

It sounds like you're noticing your Apple Pencil is becoming warm while connected to your iPad, during charging, this is normal and nothing to worry about in of itself. Now, if you're finding the Apple Pencil becomes warm during actual use, or if it stops working, you may want to have it evaluated for service.
