WatchOS 7.5 battery drain

Nope . The 7.6 update didn't fix the battery issue. It died while I was on my second 2 miles walk. However, the fully charged battery lasted almost 8 hours, the longest for last two weeks. This is my second iWatch and am not buying new one anymore. I am going back to my Rolex that was put away since I started using apple watches.

My Apple watch battery is draining in less than a day since update 7.6.1 I changed nothing and have been using like I normally do. Now it's at 10% at 5:00PM. Usually I go to bed with plenty of battery left.

Any thoughts? Battery or update issue?

Series 4 OS 7.6.1

My series 4 battery doesn't last nearly as long as before.

I get the low battery warning every day now and I never saw a warning before.

I have one more problem:

I can barely read my watch outside in the sun (I have the brightness at Max).

I charged my 4 at night. Turned it off. Turned on at 10 am. Only 12 hours max with one 1h workout. Now it’s dying. Before updates it was easily 18 hours. My battery max capacity is 95%. It’s hard to close the stand-up circle.

Ok update!! Apple watch fully charged at 6:00AM and now at 10% by 10:55AM!! WHAT IS HAPPENING??? HEY APPLE YOU NEED TO FIX THIS!! I totally rely on this watch. It's a GREAT product but this is not OK!!

I hate the 45 min trip each way to the Genius Bar, but considering my iPad has some funky screen thing going on, the keyboard is molting like it's a snake shedding its skin, I may just bite the bullet and go and be lost & disconnected for several days.

Thank God my iPhone and MacBook still work... knock wood.

I contacted the service and they really have no clue. I told them also my phone passed from 96% to 89% after the last updates (phone+watch). The phone is a 12, bought as soon as they release it. Since then, it lost 4% battery healt. Now 7% in a couple of months. They replied me: “89% is still good” 🤷🏻‍♂️. Same regarding the watch. I told them that it was 96% before the last update and it now reached 90% in two months. Adding that it now last 12 hours when it was 24 hours before, and I have to charge it every night. They replied me that 90% is good for a watch that old (series 4), and it’s “normal if I charge it every day and not every 2-3! Wtf, I have to charge it every day if I want to use it, don’t even get the issue! Useless

I am so 🗑 with trying to solve this issue. Where are the days when I took it off the charger with 70% and I didn’t care if it lasts until late ⏰.

What alternative to AW4 would you recommended. I just need to track tennis, payments. The rest is optional.

I will do so. I am going to take my wife’s Fitbit sense for a spin and AW4 goes offline until I hear the issue is really resolved. It’s battery health fallen from 96 to 91 now. Maybe I will shop for Garmin. I will definitely hold off from buying next ⌚️

It is embarrassing for such a company to destroy it’s own image. I borrowed my wife’s Fitbit sense. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of iwatch and doesn’t integrate with Apple health but 5 days and nights battery with 3 hours workouts a day is stunning me (as compared to my AW4 after update).

I updated my iPhone to iOS 15 and aw4 to watch os8 (from Backup). During 11 hours it took 28% off. Not doing anything special but it’s generally a step up from 7.6.1 for me where I died after ca 12 hours.

Will help for a few days, then it will drain again. Can't see any pattern when this happens.

My Series 6 is losing power much faster since the latest update.

Even the charging takes more time than usual !!!

I have a maximum capacity of 100% and just saw my watch power percentage go down by 5% within 10 minutes.
