my messages won’t send

i was texting my friend and all of a sudden my messages were not delivering they would go through but didn’t say they got delivered. i tried texting other people and it works perfectly fine. i’ve even called the person and the call isn’t working for us either what can i do to fix this? i have already reset my phone and updated it.
