2nd hand Ipad pro locked

Hello i bought an ipad pro from a fleemarket and the seller told me it works fine but i had no power on the battery so i had no opportunity to try it out at the fleemarket, when i got home and got it charges it seems to work fine but its locked to its previous owners apple id, i tried resetting it using itunes but it stops at the activation lock, is there anything i could do to get it unocked ? Or did i just waste a lot of money on a completely useless ipad ? The seller wont take it back or pay me back my money.

The iPad is useless to you.

Here are the Apple support pages that outline the Activation Lock - and the only mechanisms by which it can be turned off:

As you will discover, unless you are the owner of the AppleID that was last used to activate the device, you’ll not be able to defeat or bypass the Activation Lock. With documentary evidence that you are the original owner (such as sales receipt showing the serial number), Apple may be prepared to assist - otherwise they and nobody here will be able to help you.

You purchased a completely useless device to you.

The lock cannot be circumvented.

No one here can help you. Apple WILL NOT help you.

Apple does NOT get involved with secondhand purchased devices that have been activation locked from any previous owner.

FYI for the future

Never, EVER purchase Apple iOS devices from garage sales, lawn/tag sales, flea markets, antiques markets, any types of auctions, estates sales and any type of thrift stores.
