Can a watch setup using Family Setup have music?

I'm looking into giving my son an iWatch without an iPhone using the Family Setup feature that allows me to configure the watch with my iPhone. I love the idea that the watch gives him just the basics he needs.

I plan to pay for cellular service for the watch so that he will be connected to the internet.

I do want him to be able to listen to music. I'm curious if I can load music on his device via my phone OR if he can at least stream music via the cellular data (we have a family Apple Music subscription).

Would it be possible for him to listen to music in the scenario?
