When Do I Replace My iPad Pro 2017 10.5" Battery?

Hello,

I was searching for what battery state is required to complete the battery replacement (as the battery performance is much worse than when I bought it). Details:

  • Model: MPF22CL/A
  • Battery Recharge Cycles: 430
  • Battery Health: 81%

The other support article I read said that iPad battery health was supposed to be around 80% at 1,000 recharge cycles. Do I meet the criteria required to get the iPad battery service?

That model does not correspond to anything.

The closest model number is MP2F2CLL/A.

That model number is for a base model 2017, 9.7 inch screen 5th gen iPad. NOT an iPad Pro model.

That battery has reached its limited and appears as if it is time for replacement.

Search online to locate and call contact your nearest, “local” Apple Store location to try/attempt to make an appointment to get your Apple iPad diagnosed and options presented to you.

OR, failing that,

Contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.

Use the Device Performance and Connectivity support categories.

OR

by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.

Hello,

I was looking for advice on the requirements to replace my iPad battery, I heard that the battery health for the iPad has to be below a certain level for Apple to replace it. From this article:

https://www.apple.com/ca/batteries/service-and-recycling/

It seems like my iPad’s battery has degraded more than twice as fast as it should (430 cycles to around 80% when it should reach there at 1,000 cycles). Are the requirements for battery servicing at Apple a hard and fast rule on the 80% health, or does the recharge cycles affect the eligibility to get servicing?

Thanks
