Why MacBook Air M1 takes longer time to ship?
I ordered my macbook on 24th May but it shows 10 days to deliver. There is huge room for apple to improve its online retail services.

You are addressing other users here - this is not Apple support, so we cannot do or suggest anything at all regarding Apple policies or why they do what they do.
I'd suggest you talk to Apple and ask them for an explanation.

Where are you located? That could have something to do with it.
Also, is this one of the base configurations or have you customized it
(changed amount of RAM, different size SSD)?
If it is the latter case, all of those are build to order and takes time to
get into the production queue, built, and then shipped.
Also, the new MacBook Air can be in high demand and production
is not keeping up with orders, especially considering there is still a
pandemic going on.
I am in servicable area within a known and highly accessible city. Macbook I have requested is basic configuration that means no customisation. Concern is not the delay in shipment but preparation, my order is at preparation (processing) state for last four days. This emphasis on big room of improvement for Apple.
Every order is different as it depends on configuration, current stock supply, shipping or manufacturing delays, region or country - so how could a user know if it is normal on the other side of the world or country?
Yea in such case only users who can add value should have responded, othwerwise it's pretty obvious that not many people experiencing similar delays. Responses with basic and general information do not help anyone.
Sorry, but these are worldwide user to user tech forums and it isn't up to you to dictate who may or may not respond.
And, if you ask a question for which only Apple can provide a definitive answer, you have to expect basic and general information.
As I said in my first response: ask Apple to give you specifics pertaining to your order.
That's right, I just wanted to know is it that usual take so long (per others experience) or there are some genuine call concern these days.
