It is not possible to connect to App Store

I have an iPad with IOS 9.3.5 (it won't upgrade anymore) and I'm unable to login App Store, I always get something like "It is not possible to connect to App Store".

Why does this happen? Is there any way to fix this?

I believe the real problem for you is that you cannot update the iPad. I am not aware of any iPads so old they cannot update due to hardware issues but I could be wrong. This article has steps to update when issues or errors pop up.

If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch won’t update - Apple Support


If still not successful I would reach out to Apple Support about the inability to update. Get Support

First, try signing out of the app store, restarting, and signing back in again. Link > Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Failing that, try backing up and resetting and re-installing iOS, using a Mac or Windows computer.


Failing all that, check with Apple Support using the Get Support link in the upper right.


Once (re)connected… Your iPad is also going to be too old for pretty much any available app, unfortunately.
