My family sharing calendar has disappeared from all my devices and the iCloud. But the steps given by apple online seem ok.

How to I retrieve the shared family calendar content? It has disappeared from my iCloud, mini, phone, watch, iMac and my husbands old MacAir. But it's still on his mini. (He's the administrator; I'm an adult member.)

Greetings cjseattle,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It seems like you do not see a family sharing calendar from your devices. Make sure to check that the appropriate settings are enabled on the devices.

  • "On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > [your name], then tap Family Sharing or Set Up Family Sharing. Follow the onscreen instructions."
  • "Calendars: Turn on the Calendar feature. Then create a shared calendar on your iPhoneiPadiPod touch, or Mac, or on iCloud.com."

Use Family Sharing with iCloud

It could also be that the access to a shared calendar was removed.

"After you invite a person to share your calendar, you can turn on or off their ability to edit the calendar, or stop sharing the calendar with that person.

  1. Tap Calendars, tap  next to the shared calendar, then tap the person’s name.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Turn on or off Allow Editing.
    • Tap Stop Sharing."

Hey cjseattle,

There are a few more things you can try in this article. Even though there is a chance that you've tried these steps already, we would recommend you follow every step and let us know if the issue persists.

"Restart the Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders app

  1. Close the app.
  2. Return to your Home screen.
  3. Wait a minute, then open the app again.

Turn off iCloud Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders and turn it back on

  1. Tap Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
  2. Slide to turn off Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders.*
  3. If you see your calendars or reminders on iCloud.com or any of your devices, you can choose Delete from My [device]. If not, choose Keep on My [device].
  4. Wait a few minutes, then turn on Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders again.

* Local reminders will be deleted from your device, but your information won't be deleted from iCloud. Once you turn Reminders back on, your reminders will be re-synced to your device.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Here's how to restart your iPhoneiPad, or iPod touch."

Have a good one.

Thank you for trying to help. I tried your suggestions, but none of them caused the family calendar to reappear. My husband is the administrator of this calendar, and he made sure the calendar on his devices showed that I had access with editing. I talked to apple support about this, and they really couldn't do anything until I had upgraded all my devices to the latest software version, which I've now done. I've spent most of a day trying to solve this, and need to move on to other tasks for a while.

I'd be happy to read any other suggestions you might have. The calendar disappeared from iPhone, iPad mini, iMac and iCloud but continued on all my husbands devices, including a Microsoft laptop. As a temporary solution, I've recreated the future events on my iCloud calendar, but I'd like to get the original calendar back, if possible.

My family sharing calendar has disappeared from all my devices and the iCloud. But the steps given by apple online seem ok.
