Iphone 11 pro max charging issues after ios 14.6 update

My 11 pro max is not charging over 80% after the ios 14.6 update. Some forums said that it was due to overheating of the battery and it happened to protect it. But it's been happening every day since the update, today it stopped charging at 89%. It was never like this before.

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

Greetings JithinChowdary,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems your iPhone isn't charging past 80%.

Check to see if Optimized Battery Charging is enabled. You can see that outlined in the following article:

If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

"If your device stopped charging at 80 percent

...

iOS 13 uses Optimized Battery Charging to slow the rate of battery aging by reducing the time that your iPhone spends fully charged. Your iPhone uses on-device machine learning to understand your daily charging routine so that it can wait until you need to use your iPhone to finish charging past 80 percent.* Charging in this way reduces the wear on your battery and improves its lifespan. Optimized Battery Charging is active only when your iPhone predicts that it will be connected to a charger for a long period of time."

Kind regards.
