Can not find rename on my imac

How do I find rename for renaming mouse and keyboard

In the System Preferences > Bluetooth panel, , right-click on the device name, and a rename menu item will be present.

Renaming files in desktop now requires extra keystrokes - is there a work around Since I've upgraded to Big Sur, in order to rename a file in the desktop, you must left click, select rename, position the cursor where you want to make the change, and then type the new name. Before all I had to do to change the file name was click on it and start typing. Is there a way to eliminate the left click step and go back to the way it used to be? I don't have a track pad so force click is not an option.

I used to be able to slow double click to rename files in the Finder. What happened? And when you look online it says there's a rename function when you click the Action ("gear") button, and it's not there? A more macro question, when there's a system upgrade, isn't there a comprehensive list of all functions like this and someone tries them to see if they still work before the upgrade is released? VERY frustrating! Please advise.

Rename file not available I want to rename files in Finder. The rename option is missing from the right-click and from the Actions drop-down. As far as I know there is nothing different in the system. It's MacS Mojave 10.14.5. I have shut down and re-started. How do I fix this. Thank you.
