Any recommendations on best laptop stands for this laptop with a padded holder to prevent scratches? I’m 6-3 and need it a little higher.
I just posted a link to a non Apple stand on Amazon but the Community(?) removed that post.
Only the hosts (Apple employees) can remove posts - what did the email you received tell you? Mostly it would be if there is a violation of the ToU.
And, we are a user to user forum for technical questions relating to Apple devices; not sure anyone could recommend any laptop stand.
Personally, i would search for the options available and get some
actual dimensions (as it seems you have started to do). Then before
buying, grab some books and magazines and stack them to
approximately the height specified and try how it feels. Then
buy the one that "fits" and has some of the desired "cushioning" features.
As far as posting links, if you are brand new, there may be some time/number of posts
needed to have links "stick" so as to limit the possibility spamming.
Ahh, no, sorry, we don't have one of those - all the forums (communities) are for either hardware (iMac/laptops/iPads, etc) or software (Mac OS, Apple apps) - here is a list of all forums.

We very rarely get any questions about furniture because this is Apple devices/hardware/software concentrated - I've been here more than 15 years and I believe yours is the second one in all that time.
I don't think you will find an Apple forum which would be helpful since this is furniture - it could be used for any brand of computer or any other use (portable TV or take out dinner anyone?).
As for the rules: yes, it can be confusing and the most significant sentence in the rules is the last one: Apple can remove any post for any reason. There you have it.
I'd try a different approach and find a forum that talks about office furniture - that might be more productive.

As for the stand - you know, I'd say it is a matter of preference and what would work for you. Personally, with some things I feel better if I can look/feel/try it in person instead of ordering it online, so I'd start with some shops in your area that carry that kind of thing and ask the salesperson about various features. If I find one I like, maybe I can then find it online for less (or not...) but at least I've tried it already.

Post to MY THREAD "we are a user to user forum for technical questions relating to Apple devices". I was asking about a broader Apple forum where I COULD get a recommendation on a laptop stand. I'm new to Mac after starting on a MS_DOS Xerox computer in the 1980's and then Windows when it arrived for many years. I'm a member of many forums and this one is not the easiest to navigate or know what I can even post. Yes, I read the rules.
Can I change my user status to a broader scope of questions about anything to do with Mac and my particular laptop?
