According to Apple support to listen to lossless audio you have to turn lossless on by turning it on under Audio Quality found in the Playback tab under Music-Preferences, of courses for macOS 11.4.
Unfortunately on my Mac. Mini, Mac OS 11.4, there is no such setting for Audio Quality.
Please advise.

You may be confusing two different things.

However, if you have ripped CDs or otherwise recorded
audio in a lossless format that you have on your Mac,
you will still just play them as usual.

And as noted in your post in big letters it say "Apple Music"
not the Music app. I hope the OP gets the point.
Your information is incorrect, no such setting exists. Just play it.
