I have an old 2012 Macbook Pro. The progress bar of the currently playing song in iTunes- IS MISSING. I have tried what other posts say about the Up Next - that doesn't work for me. It just disappeared about a week ago!? The progress bar, which shows where you are (minutes and seconds) in the song and allows you to scrub (move) to different parts, is missing.

Did you enable the mini-player in the window menu? That disables the progress bar. You are better off shrinking a full player if you want the full progress bar.
