Apple Music - No cloud icon appears with CD content

Uploaded a CD to Apple Music on a mac. No cloud appears, not a grayed out or strike through, no icon at all.

Not surprisingly it does not synch to other devices.

From the article:

Check the upload status of each song in your music library

When you turn on Sync Library in the Apple Music app or turn on iCloud Music Library in iTunes, Apple Music uploads and matches every song in your music library.

To check the upload status of each song:

  1. On your Mac, open the Apple Music app. On your PC, open iTunes, choose Music from the pop-up menu, then click Library.
  2. In the sidebar, select Songs.
  3. In the menu bar, choose View > Show View Options.
  4. Select Cloud Download and Cloud Status.

But you still haven't answered the question. What does it say in the Cloud Status column? Locally stored tracks that have been matched or uploaded shouldn't show an icon in the Cloud Download column so the fact that you don't see one isn't a surprise or indicative of a problem. In the latest version of Music in Big Sur content in the cloud doesn't show with a cloud either, instead you see a download arrow when hovering over the track.

As I've said from the start there is no cloud icon in the status column. If the tracks are loaded locally (which they are) why then do they not show in the cloud for other devices to access? Nothing created locally shows in fact. There is no download icon when hovering. The fact that it is downloaded from a CD and there is no Match availability for it seems like it may be part of the problem but I'm just a user.

Thanks, S.

I'm just a user too. I'm trying to help you understand your issue. To do so I would like the information that I've asked for. The icons aren't relevant here. The value in the cloud status column is. Knowing whether it reads matched, uploaded, waiting, or something else provides data that may help. Are the tracks stuck on your computer waiting to upload, or are they theoretically part of your cloud library now but not showing yet on your device for some reason? The detail is important, that is why I asked for it.
