Is there anyway to stop Siri from responding?

Is there any way to stop Siri from responding? On other smart home systems, the automated voice will respond with just a ping to let you know that the command was accepted. Having Siri respond with a complete sentence after a spoken command, especially at night, isn’t ideal. She says things like “Ok, the kitchen accessories are off.”. It’s unnecessary. Any ideas?

If you ask Siri something either by touching the top or hey Siri it will respond . You can alter some Siri settings in the home app by long pressing on the HomePod icon , scroll down to gear icon and see Siri settings . You can also try asking Siri to speak softer .
