Why no Hi-Res lossless on apple TV?

Is there a technical reason (HDMI capabilities?) or is it a "political" decision not to support Hi-Res lossless on apple TV 4k?

HDMI have no problem to sending 24bit/192khz audio. That’s could only be problem from apple
