I am sorry to hear about your Airpods being lost. I use my Airpods all the time, and I'd hate for them to get lost!
The first thing to do is not to panic, Apple has a nice post on what to do if your Airpods are lost, hopefully, you'll be able to use the "Find My" app which could work if the Airpods are connected to a nearby device, or you can at least use this to find out the last known location.
