Silent mode switch is a design flaw - accidental switching sound off side button is unsafe for critical contact calls

As a healthcare professional I rely on my iphone 12 pro for emergency calls. At least once a week the phone silent mode switch is knocked into silent mode - even with a good quality phone case. Is there any software to deactivate this silent mode switch - or should I just use gum!

Every single smart phone made has a silent switch and no, you cannot turn it off with software.

If you feel the design needs review (it's been this way since the very first iPhone), provide feedback to Apple via this link --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple

Also, there are cases which can lock the mute switch in on or off --> https://www.amazon.com/Designed-Compatible-Accessories-Attachment-Catalyst/dp/B08FB7LMVX/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=iphone+12+pro+case+with+lock+the+silent+switch&qid=1622430205&sr=8-5
