why do I get numbered arrows next to menus?

I suddenly started to get strange arrows pointing to menus and I cannot figure out why. Could somebody help, please? I tried to find from settings a way to disable these annoying arrows but no luck. I cannot take a screenshot of them because they disappear but I took a photo instead (attached to this question).
