Annoying side arrow in safari
How do I get rid of the grey side arrow in the middle of my safari page? I don’t want this to appear and can’t seem to find out where to turn this off.

I turned off some settings in safari and the left side Grey arrow in the middle of the left side of the page has disappeared so I guess I turned off the correct setting. It may have something to do with tabs, but I’m not positive. I wish I would have taken a picture, but since I didn’t and it’s gone I think this might not be issue now. If I comes back, I will take a screen shot. Thanks for your response.

You need to explore multitasking - as you have a slide-out view of an App enabled. Key to accessing and controlling multi-tasking is the small “three-dot” button that is found at the top-centre edge of the screen.
More information about using multi-tasking can be found in this support page:
Use multitasking on your iPad - Apple Support
The iPad User Guide is also a rich source of information about using iPad and its many features. The Guide is available both online using a web browser (such as Safari), or as an Apple Books download:

Unlike iPadOS14 and earlier versions, multi-tasking cannot now be disabled from settings.
Apple do invite constructive suggestions and feature requests via their Product Feedback portal. For iPad and iPadOS:
Grey side arrow? Could you please take a screenshot and post it here, so that we can see it?
Does it appear in all Safari pages/websites?
Glad you could work it out, misspate :)
Giulio
Appreciate this information. Is there a way to turn off multitasking?
