Macbook Pro max screen max resolution

Hi All,

I have a MBP (15-inch, 2018) Big Sur 11.4

I'm using two external Samsung 32" monitors with the following setup:

Monitor 1 connected via HDMI to Elgato docking station.

Monitor 2 connected via HDMI - USB-C cable directly to the MBP.

The maximum resolution can set it 1080P and the fonts are very blurry.

How can I change the resolution to something higher than 1080P?

Thanks

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.4

Hi TalSur,

It sounds like you're wondering how to change the display resolution for your external displays. We're glad you've joined us in Apple Support Communities. Let's see if this helps.

Follow the steps in the section, "Change your display resolution" in Get help with video issues on external displays connected to your Mac. Once you navigate to the location as shown in the link above, see if you can try selecting "Scaled," instead of "Default for display."

If the issue remains after following those steps, let us know if you tried resetting the NVRAM and SMC as outlined in the section above.

We hope that helps with your question and take care!
