iPad carrier different than iPhone

My brother has my mothers iPhone on his cellular plan. I believe it’s with TMobile. I want to give her my iPad which is on Verizon. Our data is unlimited. Can she sync the devices to the same Apple ID? She really only uses the iPad to browse Facebook and check emails.

Should be no problem. It only matters that the devices share an Apple ID and that each can reach the internet (and Apple's servers) by wifi or cellular connection.
