Hi uk2794,

It sounds like you're wondering how to hide a word in the Dictionary App so that it doesn't show up in your Touch Bar. We're glad you've joined us in Apple Support Communities. Let's see if this helps.

If you're looking to hide profanity, follow the steps in the section, "Hide profanity" in the Dictionary User Guide. Which will lead you to Change Screen Time Content & Privacy preferences on Mac so that you can turn on Content & Privacy Restrictions for yourself.

If you are looking to customize your Touch Bar in general, follow the steps in Customize the Touch Bar on MacBook Pro. This link will guide you on how to add, delete or rearrange items in your Touch Bar.

If the issue remains after following those steps, let us know what steps you had a chance to try from above.

We hope that helps with your question and take care!
