Is it okay to wast my iphone SE 2 with water?

So my sister was cooking something and accidentally a cooking oil drops onto my phone's screen, not too much but it's like a medium sized drop. Can I wash it using water since it's water resistant? I know it's not recommended but is there any way to clean my phone? Thanks a lot!

How to clean your iPhone SE screen

Your iPhone has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic — oil repellent — coating

Clean your iPhone immediately if it comes in contact with anything that might cause stains or other damage

  • Unplug all cables and turn off your iPhone SE
  • Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth — for example, a lens cloth.
  • Avoid getting moisture in openings.
  • Don’t use cleaning products or compressed air.
