Background of numbered cells on my new iPhone SE

My new iPhone SE is displaying 28 numbered cells in a grid as a background. This appears on many apps

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for posting about seeing a grid on your iPhone after setting it up. We'd be glad to see how we can help.


This sounds like it may be a setting within the Accessibility features on your iPhone. Check Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control > Overlay and see if Numbered Grid is selected. If it is, you can disable it from there. You can learn more on how to Use Voice Control to interact with iPhone here.
