M1 Mac - Incredibly slow USB 3 speeds.

I'm seeing this issue crop up a lot. I'm getting 22mb/s write speed with SuperDuper. 22gb in 30 minutes. USB 3 via a usb-c satachi dock

This speed is abysmal. Tried with other drives running HFS+, exFat, NTFS, APFS. All equally bad.

It's been over 6 months since release. Is this a hardware issue?

We get this is a first gen product of a new architecture, but this seems like a major oversight!

Apple, please respond.

FWIW, I think it may be an issue with your hub.

I use a Belkin Multimedia Hub and connected to that is

a StarTech 8 port USB 3.0 hub (the Belkin hub only has

2 USB ports) for all my drives and my transfer speeds are

pretty much what the drives are capable of,

i.e. 5400 RPM HDD ~80 MB/sec, 7200 RPM HDD ~100 MB/sec,

and older SATA/USB3 SSDs 300-400 MB/sec.
