Alarm on new iPhone 12 iOS 14.5.1 loud and can’t customize with music

I moved from iPhone 8 to iPhone 12 about a month ago. The alarms have been really loud and have changed to the basic default tone. I had been using on the iPhone 8 customized songs from my iTunes and it worked very well. I could choose a song that was pleasant to wake up to. Now even though in the alarm setting it seems to indicate that The sound is the song I want when it actually goes off it is the default tone. How do I get back to the Pleasant songs that I would want to wake up to?

Thanks for those additional details there. Next, have you also had a chance to test thing out after installing the latest iOS updates? The newest version should be iOS 14.6:

Updates can often help with odd issues just like this. Also, just to verify, did you test with other default alarms or just with the custom ones you created or downloaded?

We understand that the tone you chose for a specific alarm is not working, and instead playing a different tone. Let's take a closer look as we do our best to provide some additional insight.

To get started, does this happen with all alarm tones that you set for different alarms, or just this particular one? Next, does the same thing happen if you completely delete this alarm and then create a new one selecting your preferred tone?

Yes it is happening with all the alarms no matter which song is chosen. I finally the day before I posted this deleted all of the alarms and re-set a few alarms with music and it still just got the blaring alarm not the music.
