Numbers: How to get stock quotes to update?

The STOCK function in Numbers is causing me a lot of grief. When I first use the function, the current price of the stock appears. But then after that, it never updates.

I am not expecting stock price updates every few minutes or anything like that. But I'm not getting any updates AT ALL. My spreadsheet shows the same prices from several days ago, when I first typed the STOCK function into the cells.

Is there anything I can do to force Numbers to update stock prices? Thx.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.4

Lots of complaints about this. The price should be the closing price of the previous trading day. But apparently in many cases it fails to update.

I suggest you file a bug report with Apple via Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in your menu.

Great that you done that, PommePourMoi.

i should of said also. To include links to the discussions to this forum as well, so they can see its not just you.

i normally say stuff like “ bad customer service from you (Apple or your supplier, Yahoo) which is causing your customers problems” etc etc

This problem has been going on for months, which is very poor.

As SGill suggested, ‘bomb’ them with feedback via Numbers feedback.
