Video recording and apple carplay

Whenever I record video using any camera while connected to apple carplay the audio quality goes bad. How can i fix this issue?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

It sounds like you’re experiencing audio issues when recording videos using the device that’s connected to your CarPlay. We’d like to help.

To clarify, is the audio in the video recording playback “bad” or is it the audio (such as music) playing through your device once the video is done being recorded?

We would recommend checking out the solutions in If you need help with CarPlay. Specifically, make sure your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS version and check your connection (wired or bluetooth).
