You followed up with an incredibly condescending response because you never actually read and responded to the specific question and just thought you were so clever that your answer should be enough.
Apple have made a dogs breakfast of this Podcast update. There was no need to change the interface for regular podcast use but clearly getting it ready to charge for podcasts.
Not only has it caused unbelievable problems (people having every episode downloaded and going over their mobile data budget, as an example) but the delete function doesn’t work. You slides for and see the red delete bar show up but you can’t select it. You have to go to downloaded episodes, select options and remove download. Even if you Mark As Played an episode, it stays downloaded. Previously you could ‘delete’ an episode that would remove it from your list AND delete any download. No longer.
Previously you could download episodes without subscribing to try them out. Now you must ‘follow’. If you subscribed before it auto followed and downloaded every episode. Even ones you listened to in the past, using up precious memory and bandwidth. If you hadn’t subscribed before it deleted all episodes you had stored.
So overall, a disaster, and the initial question was valid and not because someone doesn’t know how to use an App.
