Forgot family sharing passcode

Help. I think my son changed the family sharing passcode and will not sure it. So I am locked out of adding restrictions on his phone (for now). What can I do recover or change it??

Screen Time passcode?


If using IOS 13.4 or later, see the Apple Support article(s) below. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the article.


Screen Time passcode reset


If necessary,  you will need to restore the device to factory settings. Do not restore from a backup made when the Screen Time code was active.


Restore to Factory setting.

Thank you. I don’t fully understand b/c my son was able to change code on his end which is why I could not reset or change. I finally got the digits out of him and now it works. I then changed the code but it doesn’t accept it. It goes back to the code my son created. BUT he can no longer access his settings now either. Again, doesn’t make sense. Thanks again.
