I don’t exactly know when it happened, but I noticed that the autocorrect and capitalization has stopped working on my iPad 11 2020 with the magic keyboard (the one that clicks on, made for the ipad).
In Settings>General>Keyboard, those settings are on for “all keyboards” and “hardware keyboard”. I’ve reset the dictionary also, but nothing is working.
Any help?

So I chatted with Apple Support and they suggested I do a “reset all settings.” I was hesitant, but it was a better option than restoring the iPad. That fixed it.

Let’s make sure that the software on your iPad has been updated to the latest supported version iPadOS 14.6. Updating the software can help us rule out potential software problems. If your iPad has not yet been updated to iPadOS 14.6 back up your iPad first before updating it.Â

Have you tried toggling settings from off to on again?
Does the issue happen without the Magic Keyboard connected?

Thank you for keeping us updated. Have you also tried to Restart your iPad and disconnect the Magic Keyboard and then reconnect the Magic Keyboard? If you followed these steps and the issue continues to happen, we recommend you Contact - Official Apple Support for more help.Â

There isn't a way to forget or unpair a Magic Keyboard for iPad. The only thing you can do is attach the iPad to the Magic Keyboard and then detach the iPad from the Magic Keyboard. For additional information see Attach Magic Keyboard for iPad (with built-in trackpad).

Yes, my ipad is on 14.6.
Yes, I tried toggling setting on to off and back on again.
This issue does NOT happen without the magic keyboard attached… if I use the on-screen keyboard, the autocorrect and capitalization works great. I have not tried any bluetooth keyboard, however…
I just tried restarting with the iPad NOT connected to the magic keyboard. Then connected. Still the problem persists.
Is there a way to “forget” or “unpair” a keyboard forcefully? If there isn’t, then it is time for me to call Apple Support…
