Memory Card data not erasing

Memory Card data not erasing

Have a 32GB memory card which is used in a Time-Lapse camera, erase data on a regular basis, until today.... Use Utilities... Disk Utility... Erase .... But it is not erasing data, it says successful after running Erase, but all data is still on memory card! This has never occurred before!!

Need to use memory card in MS DOS (FAT32) format for card to work with camera.

Any advice on where to go with this would be greatly appreciated.

Deleted files in .AVI format to Bin, but they are still there.

iMac is on 11.3.1. ... have not updated yet to 11.4

Safe Mode didn't help, unfortunately, so contacted Rescue-Pro disk repair help....

They advise the memory card has failed and to contact maker for replacement.

Please try another card, they do wear out.

As a photographer myself, always format the card in the device you plan on using it with. You introduce the possibility of the card getting corrupted.
