I am seeing all icons but they are not responding, and I am also unable to restart my I Pad. I can even see the settings because it does not respond

My IPad is not opening any of the icons. Even the settings is not opening not my other icons. I am able to swipe the icons but none of them are opening. I am also unable to power off and restart because power switch is also not working

Try a "forced" restart of your iPad, using these instructions:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top (power) button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 20-40 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear).

If the issue persists, contact Apple Support, using this link:--> Get Support

If the Top (Sleep/Wake) button is inoperative, your iPad will require repair - as without this button it is impossible to trigger the necessary recovery process.

If your Top (Sleep/Wake) and Home buttons are operating correctly, you should be able to restart the iPad:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
