Connection is not private

I have an iPad connected to WiFi which is used for POS app in our shop. This app connects to a Tyro card reader.

suddenly today the internet wouldn’t connect to Spotify, load pages on safari, or allow the POS app to connect to the Tyro card reader.

When I look at the connected WiFi in settings it says in small text beneath the network name “connection is not private”.


Ive tried shutting everything down and starting again. I changed our WiFi password in the modem settings and reset that in the iPad. Nothing has worked so far. I then connected to the neighbors WiFi and everything works fine.


Can anyone tell me how to resolve this? Thankyou

If you are having connectivity issues - and as your Shop and neighbours WiFi are two entirely different Networks - as a first step, you would be well advised to reset your iPad Network settings:


Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings


This reset will only reset the network settings on your iPad - after which you will need to rejoin any WiFi networks that you wish to use. No data will be deleted or lost.
