Too many iTunes emails are sent to me!!

How do I edit preferences regarding the emails I receive from iTunes?

I want to stop most iTunes emails to me. Specifically, the emails notifying me that an episode of one of my purchased shows is available.

There is a link listed on on such email, to “edit my (email) preferences.” But the link is bogus.
